Gresham Ford Adopt a Cop Sign
Did you adopt a cop in January? Your cop might not be on the force any longer. In January we had 113 police officers. We are now at 96. A city our population size should have 256 officers. What has changed at the city level for so many of our officers to leave? What should be done to stop the exodus? Can we help?
2016-17 Gresham Area Leadership Academy at Mt Hood Community College
Big news on the Mt. Hood Community College Olympic size pool. Will there be a state-of-the-art retractable roof built over the pool? Will MHCC return to year-round use of the outdoor pool? Will we once again be known nationwide for our tremendous water polo facility? Meet Andrew Jackman, the Aquatic Center Director, at the Business and Leaders Luncheon on Tuesday, July 19th starting at 11:30 am.
The MHCC pool is poised to return to be a regional and statewide asset. Click below to register.

Rocks of Oregon

Two hiking trails showcase otherworldly rock formations.
Notable for their multihued mineral streaks, Eastern Oregon’s Painted Hills are, without a doubt, the most famous site at the John Day Fossil Beds National Monument. Yet there’s another colorful geological formation in these fossil beds: the Blue Basin, a rocky bowl that’s been shaped and tinted by nearly 40 million years of volcanic history.
