Dear St. Louis Families,
Happy Sunday! It is the end of our Easter Break and it is also the Feast of Divine Mercy where Christ visited his apostles bringing them peace and mercy, invigorating them with the call to be active witnesses to their faith. It is a great way for us to start our push to the end of the school year, refreshed, renewed, and spirited!
We have some great things going on this week. We start back with some shout-outs to our students who have done particularly good work demonstrating the virtue of Respect, please join us tomorrow for morning prayer and announcements as we recognize them for their good efforts. Spring Uniform begins Monday, April 12th, please see the handbook for appropriate uniform. Class pictures will be taken on April 13th and 14th to ensure we get both White and Blue teams. April is the month of the Military Child and on April 15th we want to “Purple Up” for the day in recognition of our military community at St. Louis—students may wear their purple socks along with a purple shirt, or sweatshirt with their regular uniform pants, shirts, skirts or jumpers. And, we are introducing a new lunch program, Yay Lunch! which will be piloted starting April 20th until the end of the school year. More information will be forthcoming, stay tuned.
I hope you all had a restful, enjoyable break with plenty of time focused on your loved ones. We are excited to welcome our students back to learning, remember it is Week 1 in our rotation.
God Bless,
Anne M. Dyke
Principal

There are 1.2 million military children of active duty members worldwide. As a Purple Star school, we are honored to call these children our friends and classmates at St. Louis. During the rest of the month of April, we will be running a special “St. Louis Kids Serve Too” social media campaign that recognizes the military families in our St. Louis School community. If your family would like to participate, please share a photo and the following information:
- Military branch
- Number of places lived (locations optional)
- Number of schools children have attended
- “What makes St. Louis School special for your family?”
- Please let us know if we may use your family’s last name in the post, or if you would prefer to be “anonymous”
