Supporting Success for Individuals with FASD-REPLAY

If you missed the live workshop, now is your chance to view the replay at your own pace and listen to Kee Warner and Marcel Gagnon speak to the challenges, supports and information concerning FASD.

Replay Recording with Kee Warner and Marcel Gagnon

REPLAY available from June 5th to June 18th.

Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD) is an umbrella term used to describe the range of disabilities and diagnoses that result from drinking alcohol during pregnancy. In Canada, more than 3,000 babies a year are born with FASD, and about 300,000 people are currently living with it.

Kee Warner is the Executive Director of Whitecrow Village FASD Society. Whitecrow is a non-profit organization committed to educating communities and professionals about FASD and to improving the lives of those affected by this prominent neurodevelopmental disability. Marcel Gagnon is an award-winning singer-songwriter from the Lheidli T'enneh First Nation who has worked for two decades with men in the provincial and federal corrections system. Gagnon received an Honourary Doctorate of Laws degree from UNBC in Prince George on June 25th, 2021. Marcel will speak about his struggles and accomplishments growing up with FASD.
There will be time for questions and answers. Marcel will close with a song.

This event is open to Foster caregivers, Kinship caregivers, Out of Care Options, Adoptive parents and social workers on Vancouver Island.
