Counselor Appreciation Week is this week, Feb. 7-11!

This week is a great time to thank a school counselor who has positively impacted your student at Meridian. Parents are invited to send a short note using this user friendly form to Mrs. Zook (middle school counselor), Mr. Manuszak (high school counselor), and/or Mrs. Gregg (College and Career Counselor).
Changes in English and Design

English 2 and English 3 teacher Rachelle Cameron’s last day at Meridian will be at the end of next week. She is moving to east Texas. She is a wonderful teacher and will be missed. We are currently interviewing for the position.

High School Design teacher Amanda McInerney's last day at Meridian will be next week. She cares deeply for her Meridian students, but after being diagnosed with breast cancer in 2021, she is unable to continue in her position for health reasons. She built the high school Design program at Meridian and will be missed. We are currently interviewing for the position, but Ms. McInerney will continue to assist seniors with completing requirements for IB Diploma Program Design.

Library Updates

There's so much to see and do at the library! See special sections of books grouped together in honor of several timely topics, including the Olympics, Black History Month, and the latest Pantone color of the year. Plus, starting Friday, students will get a chance to go on a blind date with a book and check out mystery books after having read only the opening line and learning the genre!

There's still time to participate in the first Library Olympiad, which runs through February 28. Visit the library website or download this flyer  for information on how to log in and go for the gold!
