Dear Families and Caregivers,
TLC Community News:
Happy October! It definitely feels like fall with the cooler weather. It is hard to believe that we have already been in school for a full month already. Aside from learning in the classrooms, many of our Elementary students have the opportunity to participate in our after-school activities-- soccer, arts and crafts, Rainbow Alliance, and volleyball. This is always a wonderful opportunity for our students to further connect with their peers outside of the classroom.

Last week, during International Week of Deaf People, our fifth-grade students learned how to say good morning using sign languages from other countries during morning meeting.
Elementary News:
We look forward to seeing families/caregivers during our open house on Tuesday, October 5th. If you need a foreign language interpreter, please contact your child’s following teacher. Here are the links for open house. Please choose the link that has your child’s following teacher listed.

MAP Testing:
For families of students in second to fifth grades, we will be beginning MAP (Measures of Academic Progress) testing again during the month of October. We give students MAP Growth tests to determine their instructional level and to measure academic growth throughout the school year and from year to year in English Language Arts and Mathematics.
Enjoy the weekend!
