Senior Celebrations
Prom will now be at the Museum of Science and Industry!!
Class of 2021, due to a change in guidance from CPS and Chicago, we were able to secure the U-boat room at the Museum of Science and Industry for this year's senior celebration! Following health guidance, the event will be limited to the 1st 200 seniors who pay for the event.
Date: June 11th from 6:30 PM to 10:30 PM
Doors close at 8:30 PM
Cost: $75
  • Parking will be complimentary with a paid ticket
  • DJ HotRod from 92.3 and dance floor
  • food
  • 360 picture booth
Raffle: All attendees will be entered into a raffle for 3 laptops and gift cards!

*Event reserved for Curie Seniors Only
For the 75 seniors who paid for the courtyard celebration, your payment will be rolled over to the new event and your position is reserved!

That means we have 125 seats left for the event. Payments will be taken only in person at the Curie park doors on:

Wednesday and Thursday this week from 10 am to 3 pm. All payments must be made with a credit card.

We will take payments until the seats are filled.

Seats will be reserved on a first-paid basis.

We are grateful to be able to offer graduating students the opportunity to be celebrated in person with an understanding that we must abide by state and local health guidelines, and events are subject to change if policy changes.
As a reminder, graduation will be at Soldier Field this year. Even though it is a large venue, we are limited to the seats we can give to each family. In order to guarantee that you receive your 4 tickets to graduation, we need you to pay your $25 fee for graduation ASAP so that we can hold your tickets. The information on how to pay can be found below: 
If you are planning on participating in either the Senior Celebration or the Graduation Ceremony, please make sure that you have a deposit paid as soon as possible.
How to pay:

  • Parent Portal: Pay electronically through the Parent Portal ASPEN site

If you are having issues with payment please complete the link below for tech support. Our tech team will reach out to you in order of submission.
Graduation - Soldier Field
Date: June 16th
Time: 7 PM
Cost: $25
Soldier Field Parking: $10
Qualifications: Students must have completed all graduation requirements, including having a concrete Learn. Plan. Succeed Plan on file. (more information below)
Tickets: Each graduate will receive 4 tickets
Learn. Plan. Succeed. Graduation Requirement
You all are almost done with high school and getting ready to move on to your next adventure. Before we're able to celebrate your achievement at graduation (and the buzz is that it will be in person), there are a few things you will need to complete. 

  • Complete your FAFSA/Alternative Application: This is a graduation requirement for ALL public school graduates. If you need help with this, please schedule an appointment with me here or with your counselor.
  • Complete "Learn.Plan.Succeed." tasks in Naviance and upload evidence: Here's a quick video that will walk you through these steps. 
  • Complete the "Senior Exit Questionnaire" and "Senior Contact Form/Transcript Request Form" survey (will be emailed in the next week).

A Post Curie Plan is a CPS Mandated
Graduation Requirement!
Latest Curie Senior Reports
Keep an eye out for the next Curie L.P.S Update report in your email. The report will give you and your parents the latest update of your postsecondary requirement completion status. Use the report to plan your next steps to ensure that you keep up to date with your postsecondary plan process.
FAFSA Graduation Requirement
Illinois is now the third state to require graduating high school seniors to fill out the Free Application for Federal Student Aid, otherwise known as the FAFSA form. Make sure to reach out to your counselor and set up an appointment to complete the FAFSA. The FAFSA went live on October 1st and should be completed ASAP.

GEAR UP
Hey Seniors! 

The GEAR UP team works alongside Mr. Garcia and the Counseling team to support students during their senior year at Curie. Feel free to reach out to the GEAR UP team member who is paired with your counselor when you need support this year!
We can assist with postsecondary pathway research, FSA IDs, FAFSA/Alternative App, college applications, understanding award letters, scholarship search/applications, personal statements and other college essays, resumes, and more.
