Deadline Extended to April 21 to Submit Public Comment to Oppose US 380 Bypass Segment B
Plan to attend the Protect Prosper Pep Rally on Thursday, April 14 at 5 p.m. at Silo Park located in downtown Prosper. This family-friendly event will have food trucks as well as appearances from Town and Prosper Independent School District officials as well as those who would be negatively affected by "Segment B."

From now until April 21, Prosper residents are encouraged to provide TxDOT public comment opposing the proposed 380 bypass (Segment B) from running through Prosper. This bypass would run from Coit Road to FM 1827. A TxDOT Public Input Meeting was held on March 22, those who were unable to attend can view the presentations and provide public comment on the TxDOT website. The Town has also created a webpage with information related to this ongoing opposition of Segment B. Comments must be submitted by 11:59 p.m. April 21 to be counted in the formal meeting documentation.

The Town of Prosper has passed seven Town Council-approved Resolutions since 2017 strongly opposing any proposed alignment for the widening of US 380 not located along the existing US 380 corridor. Submit Public Input now until April 21:

Reconstruction of Existing BNSF Railroad Approaches at Prosper Trail has Begun
Reconstruction of the existing roadway approaches for the BNSF Railroad at Prosper Trail has begun. This will allow a smoother transition to the track rail panels. Due to the extent of reconstructing the roadway approaches in concrete, it is anticipated that the project will take 6-8 weeks to complete, during which time only one lane in each direction will be closed to allow the road to remain open to through traffic. This will allow adequate cure time on the new concrete due to the heavy traffic on the road. Please use caution while traveling the area.
Holiday Closures
Prosper’s administrative offices will be closed in observance of Good Friday and Easter. As always, emergency crews will be at full capacity regardless of the holiday.

  • 407 Rec Center will be closed Friday, April 15
  • Special Bulk Dropoff will be closed Saturday, April 16. There will be no change to normal trash and recycling services.
  • Prosper Community Library will be open Saturday, April 16.
