To commemorate her ordination to the priesthood a year ago, the vestry presented the Rev. Mary with an icon of Mary Magdalene, who is identified as a "myrrh bearer" and "equal to the Apostles." Mary Magdalene brought myrrh and spices to anoint Jesus' body after this crucifixion, and she was the first to see the Risen Christ.

Young Adult Task Force
The Young Adult Task Force is currently doing research on young adult ministry in order to learn how we can best engage and support young adults within the Episcopal Church in Connecticut. One of the main ways we are doing this work is by listening to the voices of young adults and the ministries that serve them. We invite you to share your thoughts, experiences, challenges, and dreams for the future. Please reach out to Heather Burtman for more information or to set up a conversation. In addition, we have a survey geared specifically to young adults called Young Adult Experiences With Church.

Ed. Note: Our church interior in 1877, soon after the building was completed. Note the inscription on the arch above the altar (detail at right): "Blessing and honour and glory and power be unto him that sitteth upon the throne and unto the Lamb for ever and ever." Thanks to parish historian Diane Reid for unearthing this photograph and deciphering the inscription.
