PSO NEWS
Monarch Mondays - Thursday is LAST DAY to Sponsor!
Haven't sent in your Monarch Mondays sponsorship yet? Want free shirts?  Tomorrow is the LAST DAY to sponsor! Sponsor link closes at 11:59pm on Thursday, September 30th. There's only one logo spot left! Contact Erin Bonasso to claim it (erinbonasso@gmail.com). Special thanks to alumni parent and parishioner Nancy Grace, Realtor for being a Monarch level sponsor again! Who'll join Nancy to claim the last logo spot? If you prefer to pay by check, please use the paper form and make sure your check is received by the end of the school day on Thursday - reach out to Erin Bonasso so we know to look for it.
We're only $3,470 and one logo sponsor behind last year - help us finish strong and support our Music, Band, Art, Spanish, PE and Cultural Arts programs, not to mention sound and stage equipment improvements in the school building!  Click here for more information about sponsorship levels and an FAQ. The PSO will work with the printshop to finalize the back of the shirt, and then the order link will open for all families in October!

We'd also love help in outfitting our wonderful staff. For only $20 per shirt, you can donate a Monarch Mondays shirt to a staff member! Use the sponsor link above, but skip to the bottom to donate a teacher shirt.
Family Football Night - October 8th at Cardinal Gibbons
StMM will have a tailgate spot in Gibbons' stadium lot from 5:00-7:00pm for Family Football Night (Friday, October 8th). The PSO will have Chick-fil-A nuggets trays to share.  Please sign up if you can contribute other treats (last name A-M are asked to bring something sweet, and last names N-Z something salty). We also need drinks to share! You may drop off your items in a.m. or p.m. carpool on October 8th, or bring them to the game. Don't want the hassle? See the sign up for a Venmo option - the PSO will buy your items for you!

Kids of all ages will have fun with music, games and activities. Sign up here for free football tickets (game starts at 7:00pm)!  October 8th is also Gibbons' Homecoming, so the atmosphere will be electric.  The theme for Gibbons students is White Out, so wear white to support the Crusaders or StMM spirit wear! Contact Anne Burge with questions, anneburge143@gmail.com.
Trunk or Treat and Monsters Inc. - Friday, October 22nd
The PSO is hosting a Halloween bash on Friday, October 22nd trunk or treating in the school parking lot from 5:45-6:45pm, followed by Monsters Inc. on a giant screen on Cadran Field starting at 7:00pm. We'll also have a craft station for Pre-K students in the Activity Building (6:00-7:30pm). All children must be accompanied by parents; no drop offs.

Sign up here to reserve your spot as a "trunk." Be creative! We kindly ask that the trunks arrive between 5:00-5:30pm to set up so you don't drive through children. If you want to go all out with a big display, sign up for 2 spots! Bay 1 of the lot is reserved for Pre-K and K families - no scary trunks or costumes in this zone, please! Since we are a nut free school, see this list of safe Halloween treats - only items from this list may be passed out to trunk or treaters.

We need LOTS of parent volunteers to make this all-school event a success, especially since it will be dark at the end.  Click here to learn more about the volunteering opportunities and to access the sign up. Contact Gina Callaway with questions (bobandginacallaway@gmail.com).
Staff Soup & Salad Lunch - Thursday, October 14th
We still need a few food items for the staff Soup & Salad lunch on Thursday, October 14th; sign up here. Not a chef? Slots remain for drinks, decorations and plastic containers. Let's show our staff some love this fall! It's easy to drop off your items in a.m. carpool on October 14th, or later that morning once carpool ends; see instructions on the sign up. Contact Amy Griffin with questions, amywgriffin@gmail.com.
Reminders
Wurst Party Ever parent social this Friday, October 1st (6:30-9:00pm in the courtyard).

The PSO's volunteering poll closes on Thursday, September 30th. Let us know how you're interested in helping, and we'll be in touch throughout the year!

Submit proof of supporting StMM at Harris Teeter, Lowes Foods, Publix, Box Tops or AmazonSmile to monarchshopper@gmail.com by 11:59pm on Thursday, September 30th and you could win a free spirit shirt! See the Monarch Shopper section of the website for details.
