Lent is a time for stillness and contemplation and we have had an abundance of opportunities for that throughout the last year. So for Lent this year, we thought it would be good to offer some opportunities to observe Lent in each other’s company. We are offering a special midweek time, Wednesdays at 7 PM, to gather prayerfully on Zoom during Lent. You are welcome to attend any or all of them. We will read some scripture and devotions and have time to pray together.
All you need to do is click on the Zoom link below at 7 PM on 3/3, 3/10, 3/17, 3/24, and 3/31. If you’re not familiar with Zoom and would like some help, feel free to contact Jeanne Lavieri; (818)383-3137 or jnlavieri@earthlink.net.

Spring Tea
Saturday, March 13: 1:00 – 2:30 pm
Our United Methodist Women are hosting a Spring Tea with a St. Patrick’s Day theme, on Saturday, March 13, from 1:00 – 2:30 pm. As we did last year, we will meet on Zoom. We’ll probably play a couple of simple games but mostly we’ll use our time together to catch up with each other. Think of a favorite childhood memory or a special event in your life that you’d like to share. Wear a special hat if you like, bring a special tea pot and tea cup, and enjoy the fellowship! Linda Neate will email the Zoom access code a few days before the Tea. Questions or suggestions? Contact anyone on the UMW Board (see the monthly newsletter for names of Board members and the church Directory for phone numbers & emails)
