The General Assembly is considering legislation permitting any municipality to add a new conveyance tax (tax on home sales) after July 1, 2021. The bill purposes the new tax is to be paid by the buyer or the seller or both. This action will cause additional problems with negotiations, closings or even the ability for a transaction to happen at all with this new unexpected tax. The Primary Election for the 2022 GAR Board of Directors will open at 9AM on Friday, May 7th and will close on Monday, May 17th in accordance with the Bylaws. Voting members will receive an email that morning containing credentials to cast your vote electronically. Voting members (those who are eligible to vote in the election) are REALTORS® and REALTOR-Associate® members in good standing that have been a member of GAR for at least 5 years, OR members who have served on a committee for at least 1 year at GAR, CTR or NAR. Beginning May 6th, you’ll be able to add, edit and manage both videos and virtual tours from a single page. The options for managing videos and virtual tours will be consistent, making the process easier to understand and helping you avoid errors. This update will also add the ability to manage videos and virtual tours from a mobile device. This change will occur on the following platforms: Flexmls Web, the Flexmls For Real Estate Pros Android App, and the Flexmls Mobile website (m.flexmls.com).
