On November 16th, the RISE students hosted their own Fall/Thanksgiving party for the staff. Students greeted teachers at the door handing out Panther Paw stickers and welcoming them to snack stations, cookie decorating, Paschal Brew hot chocolate/coffee and PTA members served cake. It was a sugar filled party enjoyed by all. A special thank you to Mrs. Stanley and Coach Saenz for coordinating this event!
El 16 de Noviembre, los estudiantes de RISE organizaron su propia fiesta de Otoño/Acción de Gracias para el personal. Los estudiantes saludaron a los maestros en la puerta entregando calcomanías Panther Paw y dándoles la bienvenida a las estaciones de refrigerios, decoración de galletas, chocolate caliente/café Paschal Brew y pastel a los miembros de la PTA. Fue una fiesta llena de azúcar disfrutada por todos. ¡Un agradecimiento especial a la Sra. Stanley y al entrenador Saenz por coordinar este evento!

Link Leaders held a quick check-in with some of the 9th graders before the break. 9th graders and Link Leaders talked about grades, attendance, break plans and what they were thankful for!

On November 18, the Go Center held an event called Pie for Applying. Students who had completed their financial aid graduation requirement were able to grab a slice of pie to eat (many thanks to the PTA for the donations!!) and able to pie the Go Center staff and some teachers in the face! We had a blast!
El 18 de noviembre, el Go Center llevó a cabo un evento llamado Pie for Applying donde los estudiantes que habían completado su requisito de ayuda financiera para graduarse pudieron tomar un trozo de pastel para comer (¡muchas gracias a la PTA por las donaciones!) ¡El personal de Go Center y algunos maestros en la cara! ¡Nos lo pasamos de maravilla!

On Wednesday before Thanksgiving, the Go Center hosted Ram Apps, an event where students can get admissions and scholarships on site. 25 of our students were ACCEPTED WITH SCHOLARSHIPS totaling up to $2,016,000. We're so proud of our Panthers!
El Miércoles, el Go Center organizó Ram Apps, un evento en el que los estudiantes pueden obtener admisiones y becas en el lugar. 25 de nuestros estudiantes fueron ACEPTADOS CON BECAS por un total de hasta $2,016,000, ¡estamos muy orgullosos de nuestros Panthers!

Adopt-a-Panther is a program run by the Paschal Enrichment Foundation- Harvest Project. Faculty and staff identify families within the Paschal community who need extra support over the holiday season. Paschal families "Adopt-A-Panther" and purchase gifts for families who might not otherwise have any. Volunteers are also needed to distribute those gifts at a fun holiday event for the families. Please consider being a part of this amazing Paschal tradition. | |

Gift collection will occur on Monday, December 5th from 10:00 am - 12:00 pm and 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm at University United Methodist Church (directly across from Paschal).

Way to Go, Cal Rustad!
Congratulations to Paschal Band junior, Cal Rustad. He earned the 1st Trumpet spot in the 2023 Texas (TMEA) All State Jazz Ensemble I! This incredible journey began when Cal first made the top chair at Region. Less than 2% of students who begin this process across all areas of band, choir and orchestra make the Texas All State groups. It is a tremendous accomplishment! Cal is now a two time Texas All State musician, earning a spot on French horn in the All State concert ensembles his freshman year.

The Paschal Jazz Ensemble was selected as a 2022 Mark of Excellence National Winner for the Foundation for Music Education's National Jazz Honors Project.
The Paschal Jazz Ensemble was recently featured on NBC 5.Students Keila Medrano (10th grade, trumpet) and Shawn Villatoro (11th grade, bass trombone) are interviewed and talk about jazz and music and the history in a way that warms the heart. CLICK HERE to watch.

Come see Paschal performers this Friday, December 2nd as Paschal Choir and the Jazz Ensemble perform in Sundance Square Plaza. Hear some great music and see the sights!
Paschal Choir will sing at 6:00 PM, followed by Paschal Jazz 1 at 6:30 PM.
