In Memoriam
Helen Schold
Dear friends in Christ,
We hold in prayer our sister in Christ, Helen Schold who died on September 20th at the age of 103. She became a member at St. Barnabas in 2001. A funeral service will take place in Brookings, SD and a celebration of Helen's life will be scheduled for a later date in Minneapolis, MN.
Isaiah 41 tells us to "Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand." The Good News of God is that we are not alone in times of trouble. During this time of grief, we place our hope and trust in the sure and certain hope of the resurrection of Christ, and ask you to keep this family in your loving prayers.

this Sunday Between Services
Are you interested in learning more about St. Barnabas and membership? We will offer discovery class times and provide packets of information and discussion on our vision, goals, and theology. All are welcome to attend, and attending does not mean you are expected to join. But, for those who choose to take the next step of membership, we will receive new members on Sunday, October 22 at both services. Please speak to a pastor if you are interested in more information about the class.

“JUST for Fun” Festival ~ October 1st | |
What a wonderful day at Just for Fun! Our family had such a great time - the food, music, fellowship and the weather were terrific. It was a one-stop shop for picking up some big & little pumpkins. We thank ALL of you who were part of the planning committee and volunteers to make it a special day for St. Barnabas as well as supporting our community with donations to IOCP.

Ministry Teams Volunteers
Are you looking for a place to plug-in at St. Barnabas? Would you like to serve in worship? We are always looking to add volunteers to all of our ministry teams, but we are especially looking to fill two new roles we’ve created:
Acolytes light the candles during the prelude and extinguish them during the postlude. They also hand the offering plates to ushers and collect them after the offering, and help if needed during communion.
Sound Technicians turn on the sound system, ensure that worship leaders have microphones and batteries are fresh, and adjust volume levels during worship, if necessary. It’s not nearly as technical as the name would lead you to believe!
Talk to Pastor Stephanie with questions or to volunteer!
