It combines elements of a casserole and pizza, offering a substantial and affordable option during challenging times. The pizza dough lines a round pan with vertical sides, creating a deep-dish effect. Toppings, including tomato sauce, mozzarella, oregano, and Parmesan, are generously added, with options like Italian sausage, mushrooms, peppers, onions, olives, and pepperoni. This Chicago-style pizza has become a beloved and hearty choice for pizza enthusiasts.
