Holiday Events Bring Alumni back to CCHS | |
The CCHS Lacrosse Team was joined by LAX alumni who braved the wintry weather and came to campus Saturday, December 23 for a game and reunion. More than forty CCHS alumni from more than a dozen different graduating classes participated in the second annual LAX Alumni Game. Following the tournament, players gathered for a social reunion. This tournament provides a fun way for former teammates to connect on and off the field. | |
Alumni Basketball Tournament Continues to Bring Family Fun
On Saturday, December 23, 2023, hundreds of Charlotte Catholic alumni, spouses, parents, grandparents, children and friends came together for fun and fellowship for the annual Alumni Basketball Tournament. Five decades of Cougars representing 18 different graduating classes reconnected over the holidays for a day of basketball.
Matt Hoefling '93, said "It was great to be back out there for one of my favorite Charlotte Catholic traditions. It's always good to see family and friends and to see if the younger guys can keep up with us old guys." "It's one of my favorite days of the year," added Owen Winters '16, who plays each year with his brothers and friends from each of their classes.
122 alumni played in the tournament, which is always part reunion and part family fun. The 2023 rosters included eleven sets of brothers, two sets of fathers and sons and several other cousins and uncles.
