Introduction to Square Dancing

You don't have to be a "dancer" to square dance! Come and learn how with a free introductory program at the library on Saturday, March 26 at 1:30 p.m. This program is sponsored by the Friends of the Mercer Public Library and by the Levis & Lace Square Dance Club of Woodruff.

You do NOT have to have a dance partner to sign up, and all are welcome. Deadline for registration is Wednesday, March 23rd, 2022.

Please register in advance by calling the Mercer Public Library at 715-476-2366.
When Will It Melt?

There's still time to get your snow guesses in!

Stop by the library by March 31 to place your guess on what date the snow pile across the street will finally melt. The Friends of the Library have pledged $100 in prize money to the library patrons who guess the closest date without going over.

Only 2 people can guess any calendar date, so don't wait to get your guess in! Read about all the details here.
Earth Day Fair

The Mercer Public Library is excited for the return of our annual Earth Day Fair on Saturday, April 23rd from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.!

Mark your calendar and join us for speakers, booths from organizations and businesses throughout the northwoods, and hands-on activities for all ages.

If your business or organization has a focus on sustainable living, consider joining us for the Earth Day Fair. There's no cost to be a presenter and all are welcome. More information is available on our website.
Streaming Video coming soon!

Thanks to the generous support of the Friends of the Mercer Public Library, we are excited to tell you that our library card holders will soon have access to the video streaming service, Kanopy. Your library card will give you FREE access to a large collection of streaming movies, TV shows, Kanopy Kids offering content for young children, and streaming versions of the Great Courses.

Kanopy will be available to Mercer Public Library cardholders in good standing beginning on April 1, 2022. Stay tuned for more information!
