Dear Family and Friends of South Cove Manor:
Earlier this week, I shared the news that an unvaccinated staff member had tested positive for COVID-19 over the weekend. As a result, we continued to operate under a testing protocol that requires us to test 100% of staff and residents every three days for one week.
We have received the results for our first round of testing under this protocol that were gathered on Tuesday. I am happy to report that all results came back negative. We will complete this procedure tomorrow, and again on Monday, May 3rd. If both of those testing days reveal no new positive cases, we anticipate re-opening to indoor visitation on Wednesday, May 4th.
In addition, I wanted to provide you all with information related to our vaccination efforts. As of today, April 21st, 97% of our residents have received at least one dose of vaccine, and 92% of our staff have received at least one dose of vaccine. With additional vaccine clinics scheduled at South Cove in the month of May, we anticipate those numbers climbing even higher.
I will continue to keep you updated as this process progresses.
Thank you again for placing your trust in South Cove Manor.
