Work continues on Casa Serena, the massive 4x50 foot undersea themed mosaic destined for a private residence in Manhatten Beach, CA.
This job was brought to us by legendary local artist Carole Watanabe. Carole, along with a volunteer crew of her friends and our artists and apprentices have been working and having fun putting this extradorinaiy commission together.
This project is amazing and a great learning experience in ceramics and mosaics. A "school" of fish indeed!
Lead by Artstart Creative Director Jennifer Mygatt Tatum
and Lead Artist Annalisa Sher.

We are thrilled to be partnering with the Pomo Project and Elsie Allen High School, to fabricate a mural designed by Joe Salinas, an artist and member of the organization. We look towards a huge Pomo celebration of music, dance, art, and more!
Led by Artstart Lead Artist Hannah Day, assisted by Lead Artist Annalisa Sher and EAHS teens, this mural will be installed on the Elsie Allen High School campus, where our recent mural "Weaving Cultures, the Elsie Allen Mural", is also located. The Pomo Project mural will employ a similar approach in materials and collaborative remote learning.
