Ancestral Greetings,
As we continue on the series “A Mature Faith,” there is an indispensable discipline that must be the bedrock toward our Christian growth. We need the disciplines of: Meditation, Fasting, Solitude, Service, Confession, and Worship. However, the one discipline that makes all disciplines effectual is the discipline of Prayer.
When we pray, we plug into the power of God’s Spirit. When we pray, we hear from God. When we pray, we begin to hear or even sense the Will of God. Prayer is indispensable if we are to have a mature faith. Having said this, I want to share a few specific elements of where prayer will take the one who is not only consistent to pray, but also, convicted by its worth.
For this weeks study, we return to 2 Chronicles 7:1-14, and 2 Chronicles 12:1-12. Once again, this weeks worship is virtual only, but next Sunday, February 6th, the doors of the Church will once again open for communal gathering and worship. Until then, be safe, love one another, and I will see you online for this vital Word from the Lord.
Peace,
Pastor Mark W. Thompson
