A Nameless Woman
So many women in the bible we hear;
Like mother of Jesus and Elizabeth too,
Praying to God with no fear;
Trusting him to guide them through.
Lydia,Priscilla and Ruth we know;
Vashti and Esther queens on high.
Stories shared to help us grow;
Wonderful examples for us to apply.
I heard a lesson the other day;
Nameless women no one knew.
They worshiped God the right way;
But their names were hidden from view.
Made me think what I do;
Am I serving God not man,
Or looking for praise for all to view.
To get glory here is not his plan.
A Nameless woman for God to see;
Using my talents from above
Is all I really want to be,
Filled with kindness and God's love.
Ladies let's strive to be a light,
Shining with our names not known;
Quietly serving out of sight
Just planting the seed to be sown.
This Poem was written by Sister Patricia Pearson, pictured above. She lives in Lufkin, TX. Patricia was in the class I taught in Round Rock, TX, this month on the Nameless Women in the Bible.
Thank you, sweet sister, for this lovely reminder!
