SCHOLARSHIP OPPORTUNITIES
Please check Schoolinks for scholarship opportunities! Current postings include: Panhellenic Alumnae Association (due 4/3), PVP Republican Women-Federated Scholarship (due 4/6), Silver Spur Elementary Scholarship (due 4/6), and many more! To find scholarship listings on Schoolinks, click on Finances (left info bar), then Scholarship Matching. Look for scholarships that say, “posted by your district” above the name then click on the name of the scholarship to find out more information including how to apply. You can sort the scholarship list by clicking the Posted by your District tab on the top right, and sort by “closest deadline” above the date column. Many scholarships require essays and letters of recommendation so make sure you are researching the scholarship several weeks before the due date.
A notice from the Health Office

Dear Panther Families,
This is a reminder that per CA State law and PVPUSD regulations, all medications on campus must have accompanying district paperwork. This includes over-the-counter medications as well as prescription. If your student needs to carry an inhaler or epinephrine, there is a separate form for that. Both forms may be obtained in the health office. The State of CA requires a doctor to fill in one portion, and the parent must sign that the school may dispense the medication.  If you have any questions regarding the paperwork , contact the Health Office at 310-377-4888 ext. 42291.

“This year’s competition made it very clear that nothing is certain. No one comes in as the frontrunner or clear winner. Every competition left us holding our breath waiting to see not only how we did but how the other teams fared. This was the year of hard work and listening to each other. This team worked with what they had learned, applied the information to tasks and made it to the finals. With the lockdown, the fires, and not coming together as a group for over a year, StellarXplorers helped my team look outside their surroundings and work toward a common goal.” – Hassan Twiet, Team Director

Working in partnership with leaders in the U.S. space industry, space-focused academia, and government entities, the Air Force Association (AFA) developed the AFA StellarXplorers Space STEM Program to inspire students to pursue science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) education and careers through an exciting space-focused competition.
