Book with Confidence
We recognize that some folks are hesitant to complete their registration for the Normandy Camporee 2022. After all, over the past 2 years we have seen many Scouting events cancelled due to the global pandemic.
The Transatlantic Council has a very clear refund policy related to events that are cancelled by the council. 100% of all registration fees and associated trading post purchases are available for refund should the event be cancelled by the organizers.
If you will be traveling to the camporee by commercial carrier (bus, train, plane, etc.) you should check the carrier's COVID-19 cancellation policy. Many transportation providers provide insurance programs to help minimize the financial risk.
Likewise, if you are lodging off-site (not camping or renting a bungalow through the camporee), be sure to check the COVID-19 cancellation policy related to your rental. Again, most providers have very liberal policies and/or provide insurance programs to help minimize the financial risk.
You can Book with Confidence that we will conduct the Normandy Camporee in the safest way possible, and should there become a need to cancel, we are committed to our 100% refund policy.

Peace, Mir, Fred, Friede, Paix, Paz, Síocháin, Pokój, Pace, Ειρήνη, Vrede, Barış
One of the key themes of the Normandy Camporee 2022 is being a Messenger of Peace.
The soon to be released Normandy app will include a selection of activities relating to Messengers of Peace.
Some of these activities are intended to be competed by groups and individuals prior to arriving in Normandy, for example the “Make or Break” game. Others are intended to be completed during the weekend,
What better way to become a Messenger Peace than for BSA units to team up with or "Twin" with a group from the Scouts and Guides of France for these activities. By engaging in the Twinning program, your unit can be matched for these activities and more.

Last Chance ! February 1 Deadline
We hope your plans to attend the Normandy Camporee 2022 are progressing well. We want to remind you of some final deadlines:
February 1 - Last date to pre-order Trading Post items. There are numerous items that will not be be available on-site and must be pre-ordered, so don't miss your opportunity.
February 1 - Last date for our event staff to complete their registration including uploading their training certificates and making their COVID vaccination commitments.
February 1 - Time to be getting your Unit / Group Registration consolidated. Our registration is designed to have everyone from one unit or group be included in one registration, perhaps enabling parent portal to ease of collecting fees, etc. In the hast to make bungalow reservations, or just a lack of communication at the home unit, several units have multiple registrations. If you are a unit registration coordinator and know of this situation for your unit or group, please reach out to our registration team to work through the consolidation process. TAC-NormandyCamporee-802@scouting.org
February 1 - Time to fill in the registration detail - Passport / ID information, activity plans for your unit / group, and make sure that only Top Achiever Scouts are registered for the reception (this is not a recognition event but is designed to be a networking event for Top Achiever Scouts of any age and National Scout Association)
February 1 - Make payments on amounts due - Now is the time to bring your account current. Do NOT wait until the last minute, as it may delay your check-in upon arrival.
And of course..... March 11 - is the final deadline for all participants to complete their registration. All detailed information needs to be entered into the system and
And if you have not yet even started your registration yet...... Now is the time to login and get your self registered for a spectacular Normandy Camporee experience.

COVID-19 Update
Preparing for the Normandy Camporee 2022 is a journey and we have not yet reached our destination, but definitely getting close. Along that journey, we have encouraged you to get vaccinated to ensure your ability to participate in the upcoming camporee.
France has recently updated its vaccination requirements, which will of course be overarching to all our activities. Be sure you will be able to meet the requirements.
“To enter French territory, The COVID certificate is mandatory for everyone over the age of 12 years and two months,”
For a valid COVID certificate in France those 18 and older will have to have had their last vaccination dose or booster more recently than September 11, 2021 to meet the 7 month requirement. Youth ages 12 and not yet 18 will need to have their 2nd basic vaccine shot in the same time span.
