Sunday Is Pentecost
Congregational Meeting June 4
garage Sunday Is Pentecost
Celebrating the Birth of the Church
This Sunday is Pentecost, the day when we celebrate the birth of the church and the giving of the Holy Spirit to the disciples of Jesus.

In the Jewish tradition, Pentecost (for "fifty" days after Passover) is a harvest festival of first fruits that also celebrates the giving of the Torah, or Hebrew law. Our liturgical color for the day, red, symbolizes the pentecostal fire of the Holy Spirit, as described in Acts 2.

Electing an APNC
The Session of Fourth Church has called a congregational meeting for this Sunday, June 4 in the Sanctuary following the 11:00 a.m. service.

The purpose of the meeting is for the congregation to elect an Associate Pastor Nominating Committee (APNC), which will work to identify a candidate to serve Fourth Church as Associate Pastor for Discipleship and Small Group Ministry.

That committee will then report back to the congregation with a candidate that they recommend the congregation call to join us in ministry.

Please be with us for the meeting this Sunday!
