Jazz Concert and
Havdalah Under the Stars
May 1, 6:30 to 9:30 pm
It's Spring and we invite you to celebrate with us at our May 1st Concert: Jazz Under the Stars! Bring your family and friends and join with fellow TBC-ers in our parking lot as we joyfully welcome spring, the return of light, and the ability to gather safely IN PERSON to hear live music! This is a BYOE event – “Bring Your Own Everything”! Please bring chairs or blankets and your own food and beverages. We will provide firepits, a short Havdalah Ritual and plenty of music!
Our Jazz line-up features John Dunkerley on keyboards, Ben Carriel on drums, Danny Patiris on Sax with vocals by Big Band Singer Doug Ferony, Cabaret stylings from TBC congregant Jerry O’Neil, our own Cantor Harriet and other special guests! We would love to add a bass player and other instrumentalists and vocalists from our community, so please don’t be shy! Tot Shabbat
Friday, May 7 - 5:00 pm
Please join Cantor Harriet at 5pm for an amazing Tot Shabbat experience! Children ages 5 or 6 and younger along with their families are invited to welcome Shabbat together with singing, dancing, special guests and even some challah and soup making! Get ready for a fun and participatory 20-25 minutes of music, learning and laughs as we greet Shabbat together!
Then, stick around if you like or, if you didn't make Tot Shabbat, please join us at 6:30 pm for our Shabbat Family Service! A fun, participatory family-friendly Shabbat service with prayers, liturgy and music put together especially with children ages 7-17 in mind, and suitable for all! TBC Virtual Art Sale
May 8 - 15, 2021
TBC’s Virtual Art Sale will be held May 8 through May 15. There are amazing works of art, sculpture and jewelry that have been donated – including pieces by several of our congregants, including Babette Bloch, Jon Gordon, Richard Lerner, Joni Johns Lerner and Bruce Miller. We also have donations by well-known artists, including Saul Chase, Lionel Barrymore, Frederic Remington and Aldo Luongo, as well as several local artists. Jewish Federations of North America is Offering The Jewish Changemakers Fellowship this Summer
Are you ready to be a changemaker? If you’re a Jewish college student or a recent grad, age 20-24, you now have an awesome opportunity - an online leadership development experience to expand your career, your network and, most importantly, your ability to affect positive change in your community and the world. - Laws regulating the lives and sacrifices of the priests are presented. (21:1-22:33)
- The set times of the Jewish calendar are named and described: the Sabbath, Rosh Hashanah, Yom Kippur, and the Pilgrimage Festivals of Pesach, Shavuot, and Sukkot. (23:1-44)
- God commands the Israelites to bring clear olive oil for lighting the sanctuary menorah. The ingredients and placement of the displayed loaves of sanctuary bread are explained. (24:1-9)

Mi Shebeirach Card - This card contains a message of caring and support for someone struggling with illness or other challenges. $18 each, with the donation going to the Kesher/Caring Fund.
