April 2022 Newsletter

Spring is here and I must say it really does feel like it. Warmer weather but not too hot...most of the time. The lovely fragrance of blooming flowers and fresh grass. This month's newsletter is full of all things spring: spring cleaning, springtime things to do, and springtime meals. Cheers!

Home Improvement - Dishwashers

Because the dishwasher is truly the most important appliance in my house, I was thrilled when I came across this incredibly helpful article during one of my usual Yelp restaurant review perusals. This article details what to do in varying scenarios of your dishwasher not working aka a tragedy. I highly suggest saving this one to your favorites.

Hack of the Month Spring Cleaning

It's not really spring without (at least the constant mention of) spring cleaning! Below are some of the best spring cleaning tips I have compiled over time:

  1. dawn ultra dish soap + hydrogen peroxide (or white vinegar) to remove tough stains from light colored clothing
  2. Use baby oil to shine your stainless steel appliances (like your trusty dishwasher)
  3. Concentrate on getting rid of odors; baking soda is your friend
  4. Magic erase scuff marks away
  5. Shower squeegee pet hair from carpets and rugs
  6. Dust your house with dryer sheets
  7. Throw plastic shower curtains in the washing machine (make sure the water temperature is cold) Don't forget to add some bath towels to keep the curtains from getting tangled
