SHSAT Test
This Wednesday, the 8th, is the big day for any 8th graders taking the SHSAT in person at Simon Baruch MS104. Here are a few simple tips from our extended Baruch family member, Elissa Stein, of High School 411, that we recommend you review with your student before the test.
- Get a good night sleep and a solid breakfast if possible.
- Start on the side (ELA or math) you’re more comfortable on.
- Don’t get too caught up in not knowing an answer.
- Mark things off so you can go back and look again.
- If there’s time at the end, spend it double checking things.
- Take a bathroom break between sections to stretch legs and reboot a bit.

Save The Date! Friday, November 17th
And get ready to travel back in time for our indescribably fun 70's Dance!
Dedicated members of our PTA Executive Board along with parent volunteers (aka YOU!) will transform our cafeteria into a stunning knockoff of Studio 54 that will make you wonder if Andy Warhol is about to strut in with Olivia Newton John on one arm and Cher on the other. "And, oh my goodness! Is that really Bella Abzug?! I'm sure glad I didn't miss this night!"
Plus, there will be liquor!
