Seeking Applications

for

NEW TRIER TOWNSHIP CLERK

Position information is available here. Applications are available here.

Supervisor's Message

This Thanksgiving, I am grateful for Township residents and workers whom we serve; for those who helped to provide over 160 meals and harvest baskets this holiday at the annual Turkey Dinner Giveaway at Winnetka Presbyterian Church; and those involved in making New Trier a Caring in Action township year round including our dedicated citizen advisory committee members.

I am continuously in awe of our non-profit agency partners with whom we fulfill our mission “to provide leadership, advocacy and resources to benefit the physical, mental, and social well-being of Township residents.” For example, Our Place participants regularly volunteer to bag food staples for the Food Pantry, and North Suburban Legal Aid staff provide free legal guidance to residents on issues such as housing, immigration, and domestic violence. Learn more about all of our agency partners here.

Want to learn more about your Township and the services we provide? We are holding an Open House as part of the local Chamber seasonal “Red Invitation” event on December 4th sponsored by the local Chamber. Stop in to warm up as you make your rounds. We will have staff and volunteers on hand to answer questions, give tours of the offices and Food Pantry. I encourage you to visit our website homepage for our News & Information and links to social media updates, including events listed in our calendar.

Perhaps you are ready to dedicate some of your time and energy to making New Trier Township an example of transparent, responsive governance. I am accepting applications for Township Clerk, a link to the application is here to fill the unexpired term. The Clerk is a critical member of the team as the FOIA officer, records keeper, and head of our passport and voter services. A position description is listed here.

As always, if you have ideas or questions about your township, including about the Clerk role, please email me at GSEisenberg@newtriertownship.com.
