Moreno Valley's Holiday Season Is in Full Swing

In this edition of MoVal Now, we feature a special Thanksgiving message, and invite you to our annual Snow Day and Tree Lighting Ceremony on Saturday, December 2! 


Our Snow Day will have food, games, and real snow right here in Moreno Valley! Snow Day begins at 10 a.m. and is perfect for any MoVal family. Be sure to stick around, because at 5:45 p.m., we're lighting our magnificent Holiday Tree. Moreno Valley's Tree Lighting Ceremony features fun performances and an appearance by a certain jolly someone from the North Pole!

Join Us as We Beautify MoVal Tomorrow

Attention, community volunteers! Our latest Beautify MoVal Community Day of Service is tomorrow, November 4, from 8 a.m. to noon!


Join your fellow neighbors as we maintain the beauty of Bayside Park in District 1 & Weston Park in District 3.


Beautify MoVal is a great way to give back to your community, meet your neighbors, and spend a beautiful Moreno Valley day outdoors. We'll meet at City Hall at 8 a.m. for coffee, pastries, and fun before setting off to spruce up our parks!

Scores of People Celebrate Day of the Dead in Moreno Valley

Moreno Valley came to life during the annual Day of the Dead Celebration at the Civic Center Amphitheater!

 

Scores of people from MoVal and beyond attended this exciting event, which had great music from Mariachi Divas de Cindy Shea and Santana tribute band Savór, as well as exciting ballet folklórico performances, local vendors, and delicious food. Day of the Dead also featured beautiful altars that paid tribute to loved ones who have passed on to the spirit world. 


It truly was an evening to remember!

Celebrate Our Local Heroes at the Annual Veterans Day Ceremony

Join the Mayor and City Council as we honor our local heroes at the Veterans Day Ceremony on Saturday, November 11, at 11 a.m. at the Veterans Memorial, located next to City Hall at 14177 Frederick Street.


The ceremony will include performances from the Canyon Springs High School madrigals, Leadership Military Academy JROTC, and the Val Verde High School JROTC, as well as a special appearance by State Senator Richard Roth.


The ceremony will be broadcast live on Facebook, YouTube, and MV3.

Pet of the Week: Banjo

Our Pet of the Week is Banjo, an adorable two-year-old Pug/Chihuahua mix. Banjo is the ultimate lap dog who would love nothing more than to sit by your side. He also has an adventurous side, and loves to go on walks and trips to the Hound Town Dog Park. We guarantee Banjo would be a perfect fit for any Moreno Valley family!
