While light rail projects now under construction remain on track, the COVID-19 recession and rising real estate and construction costs have created major challenges for completing later voter-approved transit projects on their original schedules. This summer, the Sound Transit Board will create a plan to respond to these unprecedented financial challenges.
One option in consideration is changes to schedules and plans for transit expansions that are not yet under construction. One of the projects that may be impacted is the proposed new station on the existing Link line at Boeing Access Road in Tukwila. We encourage residents to share their thoughts and help prioritize the new S. Boeing Access Rd Infill Station by taking an online survey by April 30. Please take 10-15 minutes to share your input and help keep the Tukwila station on schedule.
