Please note that this Zoom photo is not the same as the senior panoramic photo. This photo will be used for the senior section of the yearbook.
BIOTECHNOLOGY & COMPUTER SCIENCE INFORMATION SESSION
The Biotechnology and Computer Science teachers will be holding an information session via Zoom next Friday, February 12 at 10:30 a.m. If your student is interested in taking Biotechnology or Computer Science in the 2021-2022 school year, we encourage them to tune in for this educational meeting. COLLEGE/CAREER MINI-SCREENCASTS
Attention 9th, 10th, and 11th grade families: Your CSArts-SGV Counselors posted three new college/career mini-screencasts this past week on Schoology, which you can also find below. These screencasts will help you learn how to access college and career exploration activities on Naviance and California CareerZone!

9th Grade: Strengths Explorer
This mini-screencast provides step-by-step instructions on how to complete the Strengths Explorer survey on Naviance. The Strengths Explorer survey will help you identify three of your top strengths and potential careers that fit those strengths!

10th Grade: Forming a Budget
Forming a budget is one of the most important parts of financial success after high school! As you first enter the workforce, knowing how much money you will have available to spend on different aspects of your life will help you avoid debt and possibly even save some money for a rainy day. Watch this mini-screencast to learn more about how you can plan for life after high school.

11th Grade: Supermatch
Watch this mini-screencast to learn how to use the Supermatch College Search on Naviance! The Supermatch is an awesome tool that allows you to select your “must-haves” and “nice-to-haves” when searching for colleges. It then filters all of your specifications and provides an extensive list of colleges that fit what you are looking for!
VIRTUAL SEASON FINALE HOST AUDITIONS
We are incredibly excited to be starting preparations for our annual Season Finale, which will be fully virtual this year. While every conservatory will be featured in our Virtual Season Finale, we will also be including student hosts in the show. Students from all grade levels and all conservatories are welcome to participate in the audition process. We will ultimately select a small group of students to represent the school as student hosts. Since there are not as many chances to audition for additional projects this semester, we are encouraging students to take advantage of this unique opportunity.

To audition:
  1. Review and memorize this script.
  2. Record your audition video. Please consider filming yourself horizontally, with a clean background. Additionally, if you would like to dress the part, you are welcome to wear formal attire.
  3. Fill out this form by Friday, February 12 at 11:59 p.m. This is where you will upload or link your video.

All submissions will be reviewed and selected students will be notified by Friday, February 19. Thank you in advance for your interest. If you have any questions, please email Bridget McNally at bridget.mcnally@sgv.csarts.net.
