We have many opportunities at a variety of times, including both indoor and outdoor options, as well as options for those with physical limitations. We are still accepting donations of

• snack-size packages of chips to serve with lunches
• snacks for volunteers and vendors (protein bars, peanut butter crackers, pretzels, granola/fruit bars, etc.)
• cans of soda, bottles of water and sports drinks, and juice boxes

All donations may be placed in the marked bin in the Narthex.

Donation forms for silent and live auction items are available in the Narthex, and Vendor applications are on the chuch website. All forms may be turned in at the Connection Center or in the Lord's Acre mail box. Stop by the Lord's Acre table to learn more about this fun event!

CHILD DEVELOPMENT: EXPERIENCES & EXPECTATIONS (BIRTH-TODDLER)

Sunday, October 1, 12pm, Fellowship Hall

Attention parents! Join Dr. Erin Wallace, pediatrician, for an informative, age-based discussion about parenting concerns, expectations, and experiences. Dr. Wallace will answer your questions and help you better understand your child at each stage of development. The first session will focus on children aged BIRTH THROUGH TODDLER. Lunch will be served, and childcare is available for up to 5 year-olds. RSVP is REQUIRED! Please sign up at the Connection Center or email teresa@aledoumc.org to register.

MIRACLE LEAGUE OF PARKER COUNTY

Aledo UMC is partnering with The Miracle League of Parker County to support healthy living for individuals with disabilities, and we need volunteers! ADULT MISSION TRIP

October 22-26, Conroe, TX

The Mission Center in Conroe, a mission of the Texas Conference, responds to disasters with pre-assembled kits that serve immediate needs. They include flood buckets, hygiene kits, and adult and child backpacks. In 2022 Mission Center volunteers prepared 337 Adult Care Bags (38% prepared by AUMC members) and 205 Child Care Bags (76% by AUMC members). We are doing God's work in Conroe!

You can support the mission team by donating these needed emergency kit supplies:

• New, unwashed bath towels
• Adult and child toothbrushes in original packaging
• New, 24-count boxes of crayons
• Single-subject spiral notebooks, wide or college rules
• 20-60 count packages of hand wipes

Items may be left in a marked bin in the Narthex. Thank you!!

FAITH 'N MOTION FITNESS

Wednesdays, 6pm, Education Building

Faith 'N Motion is a Christian-inspired fitness class for adults that meets every Wednesday at 6pm, upstairs in the Education Building. Bring water and your exercise mat, and come check it out! Drop off the kiddos at school and join us every Thursday for Java & Jesus, a time to meet with other moms and share life! We seek to grow in our faith through fellowship, a shared devotion, and a good cup of coffee! MEN'S DEVOTIONAL BREAKFAST

Mondays, 7:30am, MAC Center



Pastor Joel will be sharing a short devotional with this group. Burritos and coffee will be served. This is an opportunity to meet new people and decompress. The goal is for those not retired, to get back on the road by 8:15, at the latest. A donation of $5 is asked to cover the cost.

If you would like to help feed our neighbors, we are currently short of the following items:

We are very well stocked with all other items.

SUPPORT GROUPS FOR AREAS OF LIFE

Our groups are open to adults in our community who are experiencing daily challenges.

• Alzheimer's Support Group & Kaleidoscope - meets the second Thursday of each month at 1:00pm.
• Cancer Support Group - meets the second Tuesday of each month
• Caring Hearts/Stephen Ministers - offer compassionate and confidential prayer, support, and encouragement
