Worship with us this Sunday!
|
|
Worship with us on YouTube at 10am – or anytime after that.
It’s the Third Sunday of Lent. Please prep communion elements for yourself.
Our focus scriptures will be Psalm 19 and John 2:13-22. We experience Jesus coming to the Temple very early in his ministry and becoming angry at what is happening there. Is Jesus a role model for all of our emotions – including anger? How do we deal with frustration and anger faithfully/effectively? Pay attention to how you feel when we stand up for others.
As we continue to look at ourselves in the mirror this Lent, as we work to be more and more like Jesus in words and actions, with our hands and heart, this will be an important piece of the puzzle.

If Wilson lent Tom Hanks $20...
Tom Hanks would be Owen Wilson.
Does this qualify as a Lent joke?

Integrity is choosing courage over comfort; choosing what is right over what is fun, fast, or easy; and choosing to practice our values rather than simply professing them.
