The Pediatric & Adolescent Center is a primary care office serving Sussex County for decades.

They offer services that range from preventative care measures for well children (such as physicals and routine vaccines), to complex medical needs of children with chronic illness. DCPAP is so pleased to have Dr. Ludwicki and his team as participants with our program.

"At the Pediatric and Adolescent Center in Milton, DE, we are striving to do Integrative Behavioral Medicine. That means patients with Mental Health Issues are getting timely expertise working with other Mental Health Organizations, especially the Delaware Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Initiative. I can consult them about the appropriate medications for a specific Mental Health Problem and get expert advice confidentially within 24 hours. The efficiency and simplicity of the program with DCPAP is like a gift from heaven for both the provider and our patients.”

John Ludwicki, MD FAAP

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the American Public Health Association have developed a new site that raises awareness about adverse childhood experiences and the connection to overdose and suicide.

Talking About the Link Between ACEs, Overdose, and Suicide. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) want greater awareness of adverse childhood experiences (ACEs) and their connection to high rates of overdose and suicide. This week they announced a new training webpage, UrgentRelatedPreventable.org, designed in collaboration with the American Public Health Association to provide background and talking points. The site explains how exposure to certain events and conditions in childhood have lasting effects on health, well-being, and prosperity far into adulthood.
