Understanding FDA's New Proposed Water Rule
The FDA recently proposed changes to the FSMA Produce Safety Rule Agricultural Water Rule requirements.

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is looking for your feedback on proposed changes to the agricultural water regulations. Comments are due April 5, 2022. To facilitate Michigan stakeholder engagement, public sessions are being held across the state in collaboration with Michigan Conservation District Produce Safety Technicians, Michigan State University Extension, and the Michigan Department of Agriculture and Rural Development (MDARD). Pre-registration is not required but strongly encouraged. Below is the list of scheduled sessions with links for registration and additional details.

The FDA is also hosting virtual public listening sessions on February 14, 2022 and February 25, 2022. Additional details and registration for these meetings can be found on the public meeting landing page.
