Electronic Visit Verification (EVV) Listening Session


EVV Listening Sessions are informal opportunities for stakeholders to bring questions to HCPF about your EVV implementation and operation. No new policy or technical processes will be announced in these Listening Sessions. New information will be discussed in the Quarterly EVV Stakeholder meeting and published on the EVV Stakeholder Workgroup page. Email EVV@state.co.us to have a calendar invitation sent for this ongoing session.

1915(c) HCBS Renewal Informational Meeting for the Developmental Disabilities (DD) and Supported Living Services (SLS) Waivers


HCPF is preparing to renew the 1915(c) Waiver agreements with the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) for the following waivers: DD and SLS. The purpose of this meeting is to invite all interested stakeholders to a presentation regarding the renewal of these HCBS waivers. All interested stakeholders are welcome.

Children’s Disability Advisory Committee (CDAC)


The CDAC serves in an advisory capacity to HCPF and makes recommendations regarding issues related to benefits for children and youth with disabilities age 20 and younger, provider education interventions and application of standards.


For the Jan. 10 Meeting:


HCPF is preparing to renew 1915(c) Home and Community-Based Services (HCBS) waiver agreements with the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) for the following waivers: Children’s Extensive Supports (CES) and Children’s Habilitation Residential Program (CHRP). The current waivers were renewed with CMS on July 1, 2019, for 5 years and expire on June 30, 2024. HCPF will be submitting renewal applications to CMS during the 2024 Spring Waiver Actions with a requested effective date of July 1, 2024. The renewed waiver applications will be approved for 5 years. Join us to discuss these renewals and provide any feedback you have.

Direct Care Workforce Collaborative (DCWC) Training & Career

Advancement Action Group


This Action Group works collaboratively with stakeholders to identify and move forward strategies to support the recruitment and retention of Colorado's direct care workforce. This group intends to meet every other month on the first Friday of the month from 9 to 10 a.m. MT. NEW: ARPA 1.05 Provider Informational Webinar Series


These webinars will provide information to prospective applicants about the ARPA 1.05 Provider Grant. The intention of this grant is to provide more training opportunities and incentives for workers to gain higher-level skills that would promote greater retention within the HCBS workforce. This webinar will review the grant eligibility and application process. All interested stakeholders are welcome.

4.07 Complex Needs Service Enhancement System of Care Grant Question & Answer Session


Please join us for a Question & Answer Session regarding an exciting new grant opportunity. HCPF received funding through Section 9817 of the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) to build systems of care and support that recognize and leverage the needs and capabilities of various populations.


This grant will focus on expanding, enhancing, and strengthening the capacity of existing service providers to serve individuals receiving home and community-based waiver services (HCBS) in a residential setting with disabilities and complex behavior support needs. HCPF has allocated $500,000 to this grant program for up to 100 awardees that may receive between $5,000 and $50,000 in funding.

Direct Care Workforce Collaborative (DCWC) Compensation and Benefits Action Group


This Action Group works collaboratively with stakeholders to identify and move forward strategies to support the recruitment and retention of Colorado's direct care workforce.


HCPF has retained the services of Health Management Associates (HMA) to better understand the current landscape for home and community-based services (HCBS) providers, with a focus on rural and inner-city communities. As part of this work, HMA is engaging internal and external stakeholders to better understand current rates, reimbursement methodologies, and the impact of these on care deserts. HMA will be attending this meeting to discuss this project with interested stakeholders. Please reach out to HCPF_DCWorkforce@state.co.us for any questions.
