The Office of Career Development provides services, programs, and resources which facilitate the lifelong career development process and assist students and alumni with implementing and securing satisfying careers. Office personnel meet with students during individual appointments as well as group workshops and seminars. The office offers job postings, resume writing and interview preparation assistance, career fairs, and on-campus recruiting opportunities.

The Claflin University Department of Athletics announces that Trevin Q. Goodwin has been named the director of athletic media relations. With a passion for the field of media relations and a wealth of experience, Goodwin will be welcomed addition to the Panther family. Goodwin will oversee the media relations of the Claflin University Department of Athletics, including its 12 NCAA Division II teams. 

Goodwin comes to Claflin University with an impressive resume. Most recently, he spent 14 years at Winston-Salem State University, including the last four years as the assistant athletic director for media relations. Prior to Winston-Salem State University, Goodwin spent five years as the assistant sports information director at South Carolina State University. He began his career in athletic media relations at his alma mater, Charleston Southern University. 

While Goodwin is new to Claflin University, he’s no stranger to the area. He spent a year as a desk editor at The Times and Democrat and he is a native of nearby Bowman, S.C. Goodwin is a graduate of Bowman High School.
