This Sunday is Mother's Day and on this special day, we have some special things going on at Salem. There are two Mother's Day Photo Spots set up outdoors for you to take your own photos - the weather is supposed to be spectacular so enjoy! There is also a Mother's Day Giveaway! Three lucky ladies will each receive a $100 gift package. To be entered into this giveaway, all you need to do is fill-out a special mother's day connect card that will be in the back of the pew, or complete the form online using the Church Center app or at www.salem4u.com/giveaway.  Drawings will take place after the service on Sunday and the winners will be notified that afternoon. There is also a place on the card and online to send us your prayer requests. The Salem Women's Ministry team will collect them, pray for you and reach out to you soon. To all ladies, have a blessed weekend! A TIME TO REMEMBER... Long serving Salem Staff members, Kevin Pieper, Missions and Outreach Director, Mary Pieper, Salem School Educator and Worship Creative Director, and Mary Beth Gaertner, Salem School Director are retiring from full time active ministry at the end of May.  Each of these gifted people have been instrumental to Salem's ministry over the past four decades. God has used each of them in mighty ways to share His love in Jesus with thousands of students, families, many others. We'll celebrate their service on Sunday, May 23. In anticipation we are asking anyone who would like to provide a message of congratulations, a favorite memory or photo to bring those to the Lakeside Chapel this Sunday, May 9 or May 16 or 23. The Salem Saints Open is a fundraiser for the Salem Lutheran School Athletic Department. We usually have 25-35 teams play annually. The funds raised from the 2020 Gold Tournament helped to purchase new gym curtains and a new scoreboard system for the gym. Join us June 15th from 6:30am- 2:00pm. $600 for a team of four golfers. CONCORDIA TOMBALL CONCERT CHOIR AUDITIONS Auditions for incoming freshman for the 2021|2022 Concert Choir Concordia Lutheran High School's premier vocal ensemble will be held: May 17th through the 21st from 3:00pm-4:30pm & May 22nd from 10:00am-2:00pm or by special appointment. Audition will consist of: Singing Amazing Grace, or any song of your choice Checking your range Basic questions about reading music To schedule an audition time or for more information please contact Mr. Palomaki at [email protected] GYM ADVERTISING SPACE AVAILABLE We are opening some prime advertising spots for local businesses in our gym that will help fund various projects to benefit our ministry here at Salem. Our gym has over 200,000 people walk through it in a year and many are from Northwest Harris County. Would your business benefit from being seen by our school families, Alodia families and many more? END OF YEAR PARADE This has been the year of parades and we are going to go out of this 2020-2021 school year with the last and best of all! To celebrate our 8th graders, we will be hosting a parade in their honor on the last day of school, May 27th at 10:30am. Please line up in the Hilltop Parking Lot at 10:15am. Car decorations encouraged! The VIP of the day will be Dr. Mary Beth Gaertner as we also honor her last school day before she retires from her distinguished career at Salem Lutheran School. We welcome alumni, former teachers, families and friends of Salem to attend. This is a surprise for her so please share discreetly. Our special guests for Dr. Gaertner may park in the Community Center Parking Lot and line up on and across from the sidewalk by the pond. We will have staff available to help direct you where to go. Visitors may bring cards and/or posters to show some love for Dr. Gaertner. Looking forward to celebrating with you!

EARLY CHILDHOOD- OPENINGS AVAILABLE! Salem Early Childhood is now enrolling for the 2021-22 school year. Openings are available in the following classes: toddlers, preschool (three year-olds) and pre-kindergarten (four year-olds) with limited spots available.
