National First Gen Day: Film Production major reflects on WKU experience
A first-generation college student, April LeAnn started her journey with a passion for film. During her time on the Hill, she’s also found great friends to make memories with and a “filmaly” in an academic program she loves. She found opportunities that she turned into research and space to create projects that connect with her personal story of coping with domestic abuse and entering foster care. “I kind of always knew I wanted to go to college. No one in my family went to college. Some of them have not even graduated high school. So, I knew that higher education was something that I wanted for myself,” said April, a WKU senior Film Production major from Central City. More: WKU F1RST GEN Information
