Hello Sunshine,

Don't miss it. How are you finding joy these days? If you have children, fur babies, or maybe you enjoy quiet time at home, are you doing the things that make your heart sing? Talking with friends lately it seems so many are distracted by life. We get caught up in the details of living and grieving, achieving and contemplating that we forget to find joy or have fun. When was the last time you did something just for the fun of it? Instead of just living we can be scared to do the things that make us happy.

Life is short! We are never guaranteed tomorrow. Do something this week that makes you smile!

A Great Big Happy Mother's Day to all of our Mamas out there. Some of you know, I am the Yoga Mama. Whether you are 8 or 80, if you practice with me I feel as if I am your yoga mamma and you are my yoga child. I find joy in seeing you grow in your yoga practice.

This week Andy asks Carrie 23 questions. Carrie will be leading our Prenatal workshop this month and she teaches Simply Yin Wednesdays at noon. Get to know Carrie, see the link below.
This Yoga Tribe did an AMAZING job last week with Buddha Squat. This week's Sunshine pose of the week is CROW pose or Bakasana. In Sanskrit Baka is a mystical man-eater, to me, it sounds like the noise a crow makes. In our yoga practice, it is the first pose that shows us we are capable of more than we imagine. I know everyone can do crow pose whether you think you can or not. Maybe we use a block under our head or under our feet. Maybe we prop up on a pillow. The ability to do crow pose is within you when you let go of your limiting beliefs.

Show me your crow pose this week and l will be a proud Yoga Mama, it is mother's day after all.

To get into Crow, start in a Buddha squat and make 45-degree angles with both elbows. Spread the fingers of each hand wide and use the pads of the finger to root as well as the heal of the hand. Make sure to have a wide base to balance the body. Place the lower leg bone (tibia) on the upper arm bone (humerus) and lean forward. DO NOT LOOK AT YOUR TOES! Instead, look forward, pick up one toe and then the other.

Crow pose is great for confidence. You do not need to use your strength you need balance.

Find the best version of your Crow pose for your body and show us and post on social media. Use the hashtags
#sunshineposeoftheweek #sunshinetribe and @sunshineyogashack. Without the hashtag and studio tag, I may not see your entry. Every post you make is an entry. There are four weeks and four poses before we draw the winner. The winner will be able to choose a new Manduka yoga mat or bolster from Manduka.com.

April's winner for the pose of the week is Cedricka Jackson!

Love and Light!
