Staying Safe to Support Continued In-person Learning
Dear Team DPS,

I want to take just a few minutes to say how much I appreciate all of the support and cooperation you have shown the first two weeks of the new school year, to help ensure we have the safest and healthiest conditions in our schools.

As I’ve visited campuses and classrooms, the energy levels and enthusiasm have been so high, and everyone is showing such consideration and care in following the DPS 5 and being mindful of our health and safety guidelines. Thank you. That is so critical to ensuring the uninterrupted in-person learning and support our scholars need. Hear more below in this video update, in English and Spanish.
We continue to be in close contact and partnership with our experts at Denver Health, to thoroughly review data and discuss any adjustments to our health and safety procedures. (Watch a video in English or Spanish with Dr. Steven Federico, chief pediatrician at Denver Health, on current COVID conditions in our community.)

I hope your school year is off to a great start, and please know how much we appreciate your investment in and commitment to our schools and our scholars.

In collaboration,
Dr. Alex Marrero
Superintendent
