Spring term kicked off this week! We are thrilled to welcome 26 new students to the CIM. With our instructors hunkered down at home (during what would usually be a touring season), there is still lots of room in our classes for new students.

On Monday, St. Bridget's day, I had the pleasure of co-teaching this week's Singing Irish Songs at Home class to a sweet group of young singers aged 4-6. While some of us are sick of interacting online, others are just getting the hang of it! These young ones were managing their mute buttons, singing along and leading one another with silly dance moves with pure joy and enthusiasm. It was the highlight of my day.

We hope you will join us on Saturday, February 20th for Éigse CIM, A Virtual Gaela Event. Register now to bid on the silent auction (opening Feb 13th), make a contribution to the "Creating Community Through Irish Music" fund-a-need, and to enjoy entertainment by emcee Máirtín de Cógáin. The night will also feature musical performances by our students and instructors. The event is free, so it is the perfect opportunity to attend, and to invite all of your friends! Gaela boxes are sold out, but tickets to the event are unlimited.
