Platte County Federated Women's Democratic Club met August 9th at Platte Resource Center.
Chris Hershey, Platte County Board of Elections, spoke about the bipartisan aspects of all activities, including office staff, federal laws that mandate voter registrations cards be sent out every 2 years, how voters are removed from lists after missing two federal elections, and demonstrated the Voter Registration application on phones and the success of absentee voting this past election.

Elizabeth Murtagh-Yaw was installed as secretary, as she was unable to attend last month. Treasurer Tracy Holthous reported 24 paid members this year so far.
Sharon Aring presented fund raising and promotional aspects of selling buttons--that are not candidate related. Group approved request and hopefully they will be available for October 16th.
Sharen Hunt discussed the Fall Family Event October 16th at Alldredge Orchard and possible role of raffle ticket and registration/welcome for our club.
Members signed up to work the Voter Registration during Parkville Days with League of Women Voters August 20 and 21 at American Legion, Parkville.
Reports on Central Committee, Northland Democratic Club and Night at the Elms were given.
