Hello Josey,

As a reminder, the Staff Communicator will be distributed each Thursday that school is in session, as well as once in June and once in July. It may also be distributed as needed throughout the year. Archives can be found HERE.

PTO Spirit Wear Drive

Price Tag and Locker 518, our district's free clothing stores for students, need new and gently used RepMO spirit wear. Our PTO is asking for your help! You can send RepMO gear (of all sizes) to your child’s school throughout the month of November or drop items off at Price Elementary.

Donations of adult-sized, everyday clothing are also appreciated!

Family Survey Available Through November 9

Republic School District invites parents and guardians of our students to complete the short, 5 minute survey found at https://forms.gle/du45h9BSAKeQaf5CA by November 9. Your feedback allows us to see at what level we are meeting the needs of our students, families and community at large. Please complete one survey per student in your household.

Throughout November we’ll also be gathering feedback from our 4th-12th grade students and employees. Preparing each student for future excellence through a safe educational environment is our mission, and the information gathered through these surveys provides us a measure to see how well we are achieving this goal. Thank you in advance for your participation!

**Teachers, please share this with your families!**

Thankful Thursdays

Help us THANK our coworkers! Reply to this email or private message us on social media a note of "thanks" to one of our teammates and we'll share several each Thursday during November!

Print Server Changeover

On November 18, starting at 1:00 p.m., our Technology Department will begin the process of migrating our print server to its new home. During this time, all printing services will not be available. For the duration of the operation, copiers will be set up in the front offices to be available for copying without using a Papercut pin number to login. Also, to help facilitate the migration, the Tech team will be clearing out all print queues of stored print jobs on that day.

As for the time frame, it should take at least 2 to 3 hours, if things go well. Our Technology Department will send out an all clear when they have finished the migration process and have tested out all printing services.

Thank you for your patience in these matters.

Mornings with Matt

Each month, Superintendent Dr. Matt Pearce will visit a building to host conversations with employees. These "Mornings with Matt" meetings are casual opportunities where employees can visit with Dr. Pearce regarding any topic of their choice. Building libraries will be the location of these meetings with the exception of EC (multipurpose room) and the Transportation Department (meeting room).

ALL employees are invited to EVERY meeting, if you'd like to attend! Dr. Pearce looks forward to visiting with many of you!

HRA Reminder

The Republic School District participates in a health insurance consortium with 85 other school districts which allows us to qualify for the most competitive rates on the market. To continue qualifying for these competitive rates the consortium has implemented a requirement for participating districts. This requirement is that at least 50% of the district's employees who are eligible for insurance coverage MUST complete an annual Health Risk Assessment (HRA) in order for that district to participate in the consortium.

Without participation in this, consortium insurance costs are guaranteed to increase significantly.

As an incentive to receive the 100% Board-paid insurance, we're asking all employees eligible to receive insurance coverage to complete a Health Risk Assessment (either through a district event or through their primary care provider) between July 1, 2022, and May 1, 2023.

Employees who do not participate will be required to pay the cost of the monthly premium increase. For the 2022-2023 school year this increase was approximately $35.00 per month.

If you choose to have your HRA completed with your physician's office, please have THIS FORM completed and returned to Melissa Bennett by May 1, 2023.

As in the past, on-site HRA visits will be held in the district during the spring of 2023.

Weekly Wellness

As you may know, our new CSIP includes a focus on overall wellness for our students and staff. Through that effort, our Staff Wellness Facilitator, Nancy Leonard, will provide information in this section of our Staff Communicator every week. We hope this will support all of our team members on their wellness journey!

If you have any questions or need additional information, please contact Nancy Leonard at [email protected] or Ext. 6050.

Free Nutrition Learning Opportunity

Please join us for a nutrition presentation ONE WEEK FROM TODAY, on Thursday, November 10, 2022, at Republic Middle School from 4:00 to 5:00 p.m. All employees and significant others are welcome! Donna Webb, founder and owner of Bright Sky Nutrition, will be presenting on "Stress and Nutrition: Healing Our Bodies."

Donna Webb is a licensed dietitian and a certified diabetes instructor. She has helped people achieve their health and wellness goals for more than 20 years.

Every part of our body is affected by the nutrition choices we make every day. Bright Sky Nutrition offers diet counseling (also known as Medical Nutrition Therapy), which is the only preventative service that reduces risk and improves overall health for our entire body.
