When the time for Pentecost was fulfilled, they were all in one place together. And suddenly there came from the sky a noise like a strong driving wind, and it filled the entire house in which they were. Then there appeared to them tongues as of fire, which parted and came to rest on each one of them. And they were all filled with the holy Spirit ...

This is your opportunity to express your hopes, dreams, desires, and, yes, even your concerns for the future of the Catholic Church. Voice of the Faithful has scheduled its first series of Synod input sessions (register below), during which we will each listen intently to the Holy Spirit and to each other to discern a path forward for our Church. Plan to join one or more of these sessions and bring a friend or friends.
The Synod on Synodality, officially called “For a Synodal Church: Communion, Participation, and Mission,” provides the most significant opportunity ever for the Church’s laity to influence the future of the Church. All people of God will have a chance to express how they see the Church becoming the synodal, pastoral, evangelical Church it should be.
Because VOTF is committed to providing Spirit-led voices to govern and guide the Church, we are providing this opportunity for each of our members, and asking you to invite any others who want to participate. So, please feel free to invite your friends, neighbors, adult children, and others.

Frequently asked questions ...
|
|
Q: May I attend more than one session?
A: Yes, you may attend as many sessions as you like.
Q: What if I don't feel comfortable talking about the Holy Spirit?
A: Pope Francis has emphasized that discerning and responding to the influence of the Holy Spirit, whom Jesus sent to be our companion, comforter, and guide, is integral to the Synod process. The preparation documents also make clear that in synod sessions we hear the Holy Spirit through the voices of our neighbors. All we ask for is your voice, your thoughts. (See this prayer, and others, from the Vatican Synod website on how we invoke the Holy Spirit in discerning our way forward, Holy Spirit, Make Yourself at Home in Our Hearts.)
Q. What if I'm not familiar with Zoom?
A. Don't be afraid of Zoom. It's easy to use. Click here for simple instructions to get you started.
