Faith and Environment Weekly
Persistent Advocacy against Contamination:
Erin Brockovich, consumer advocate and environmental activist, will speak at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 13, at Kent State University Stark.
In the famous 1993 case against Pacific Gas & Electric about hexavalent chromium contamination in the drinking water, Erin Brockovich’s dogged persistence helped to win the largest medical settlement lawsuit in history.
After that, her career turned toward environmental protection. Today, Erin Brockovich is president of Brockovich Research & Consulting, and she is currently involved in numerous environmental projects worldwide. She has requests for her help in groundwater contamination complaints in every state within the country, Australia, and other international hot spots.
The takeaway: Every one of us can make a difference for our environment

- Sunday School teachers and helpers at 9:45am
- Wednesday Wonder Kids
- Wednesday Night Faith Connections meal team
- Nursery and Childcare on Sunday mornings and Wednesday evenings
- Youth Wednesday nights, and Sunday evenings
- Adult Group Facilitators and Coordinators

Our children need our church. They need Jesus! And they need YOU!
Faith United’s Spiritual Formation and Youth Ministry Teams need your support to guide our children and youth as they grow in faith. If interested, contact Kathy Schmucker, Matt Kluchar, or Pastor Jake.
