We were blown away by the 20 wonderful entries that we received for the Kid's Shop Local Poster Contest! The 1st prize winner for each category is shown below, but click the link to see all of the entries and the other winners!

Small Business Paycheck Protection Program

The Paycheck Protection Program established by the CARES Act, is implemented by the Small Business Administration with support from the Department of the Treasury. This program provides small businesses with funds to pay up to 8 weeks of payroll costs including benefits. Funds can also be used to pay interest on mortgages, rent, and utilities.

Show your H-Town Love Campaign

In honor of Valentine's Day, we would like to hear from residents throughout the month of February about what they love about Haverford Township. We need some positivity during these dreary winter months!

Those who participate will be entered into a weekly drawing to win a $25 Keep it Local Gift Card!

There are two ways to participate:

1.) Post on Facebook or Instagram with the hashtag #showyourhtownlove.

2.) Send an email to info@hped.org and we will post it for you.

Posts should include a photo and tell a story or explain what you love about it. The photo could be:

Your favorite business or organization
You with a recent purchase at a local shop or restaurant
Another resident that you admire and why
Your favorite location (preferably with you in the photo)
Your neighbors and what you love about them
Your favorite teacher (past or present), firefighter, waitress, nurse, etc.

Welcome to CRUST Pizza!

HPED is pleased to welcome Crust Pizza, located at 2415 W Darby Road, to Haverford Township!

Owner Nick Haselidis is already a familiar face in our township, as he also owns the Havertown Grille. The idea for his newest restaurant came when he learned of the growing popularity of Detroit style pizza and how it was in high demand at area restaurants. Nick thought that this niche could provide a new and unique option for the pizza-loving community of Havertown. From the response he has received, it is clear that his patrons agree!

HPED Seeks Greening Coordinator

HPED is looking for a part-time Greening Coordinator to work on our planters and gardens, starting in March or April.

Gardening experience and the use of a large vehicle is needed.
