2022 Health Teacher

BJHS Health Teacher, Clairlynn Rountree, has been recognized as the 2022 Middle School Health Teacher of the Year by the Maine Association for Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance.

Chelsey Weeks,

School Counselor,

Brunswick Junior High School

Chelsey and her husband have two children, Lawson (4 years old) and Leona (2 years old). Chelsey grew up in Bath, Me and attended the University of Maine at Orono for both her Bachelors Degree in Elementary Education as well as her Masters of Education in Counselor Education.

What makes you proud to work in Brunswick?#BSDProud

I have been amazed at the incredible team-oriented atmosphere and the warm welcome that I have experienced thus far. It is also evident how seriously Brunswick takes the responsibility of educating and providing rich opportunities for its youth!

What do you like to do outside of work for fun?

I love spending time with friends and my wonderful family---we enjoy going to our camp in northern Maine, boating, swimming, ATVing, snowmobiling and exploring new places. I also like to read, listen to podcasts, and do just about anything near/on/in the water.

Favorite line from a movie?

"If you can't say somethin' nice, don't say nothin' at all" -Bambi

If you could meet anyone, living or dead, who would you meet?

Taylor Swift--I think she would be a lot of fun to hang out with!

What is something you learned in the last week?

That there is a lot to learn being new to this position, but there are many people here at BSD willing to help out and make the transition smoother, which I am very grateful for!
