Happy Tails Newsletter
March 2022
There's never a dull moment!

Whether it’s providing medicine to sick animals, feeding, socializing, and playing with animals, cleaning, processing paperwork, working with foster families, and answering 150+ emails/calls each week, our shelter staff and volunteers always have their hands full.

We also care for sick animals (50+ at times), who aren't ready to be adopted yet. They need extra TLC before meeting their new families and we give them the best chance at a happy and healthy life.

It's our passion to save these sweet souls who can't speak for themselves. Your support allows us to continue to provide lifesaving services for needy animals in our community.

Thank you from everyone at Homeward Bound Pets Humane Society!
Event Planner/Graphic Designer

HBPets is hiring an experienced Event Planner/Graphic Designer to join our growing team! Don't wait - apply today. We are reviewing resumes daily and are looking to bring the new employee onboard ASAP.

One step at a time!

As our construction plans are moving along for our new shelter, it was time to create a space for a temporary office and isolation room once we get closer to demolition. Check out that huge gravel pile being tamped down!

Stay tuned for more construction site updates as they happen, along with the official announcement of our capital campaign later this year, which will help bring our dream of a new shelter to reality!
New Shelter Schedule

Beginning next week, our shelter will be open to the public Wednesday-Saturday and closed Sunday-Tuesday.

Not to worry, our staff will still be onsite caring for our animals, but at this time, we need to adjust when we can be open for visitors. Thank you for your understanding.
Meet Sunny and Beans

These two were dropped off on the streets of Yamhill county to fend for themselves. Though they appear to be very well-taken care of, they have not been thoroughly socialized.

Beans: As with most Australian Shepherds, he needs plenty of exercise and would make an excellent farm dog or running buddy! Beans is a big goofball and has the most funny facial expressions. His trust must be earned, but once you have it, he is very loving.

Sunny: This pretty girl is coming out of her shell more each day and learning not to jump up. She is very curious about everything, does well with other dogs, and doesn't seem to mind cats. Sunny would love someone who is patient with training and full of affection.
