The SMSU Chorale is the department's elite, mixed choral ensemble. The ensemble specializes in the performance of a wide range of sacred and secular choral literature of all historical periods, voicings, and nationalities. The Lyon County Museum is hosting a Vietnam Veterans Panel in connection with the new exhibit, The Vietnam War and Lyon County. The panel includes local Vietnam veterans: Dan Dybsetter, Dan Markell, Rich Maurer, Karl Porisch, and George Seldat. Panelists will discuss topics related to their service during the Vietnam War. This presentation is free and open to the public. Light refreshments will be served.

The City of Marshall’s special election referendum is to decide if existing sales tax should be used for a New Aquatic Center. There will be one question that is a “Yes” or a “No” to extend the existing sales tax. Extending the existing sales tax will NOT be an increase on property taxes.
Voting for residents on election day will be held at the following locations:
• Ward 1 - Red Baron Arena (2nd floor) - 1651 Victory Drive
• Ward 2 - Marshall Middle School Gymnasium - 401 South Saratoga Street
• Ward 3 - YMCA - 200 South A Street

“The “History Rocks” project is a collaboration between museums around the globe and the well-known Swedish rock band, Sabaton. Following years of hard work and research, the rock band has created “The War To End All Wars – The Movie” in partnership with Yarnhub, an animation studio focused on historical content. "The War To End All Wars – The Movie" is 67 minutes long and features the band's music. It takes viewers on an educational journey through some of the most nail-biting WW1 stories.

Chamber E-Connection Guidelines & Policies | |
Newsletter Goals & Audience
The purpose of the Chamber E-Connection newsletter is to share our member's events with other business and community members. It's an informational newsletter and helps to promote our member businesses and their events. Each Friday, our newsletter is sent to over 1,500 individuals. Our separate emails are sent to the same list, but are held especially for our Chamber events and Business After Hours.
Newsletter Policy
E-Connection events are included based on the requests from the member business. The following criteria are requested by the Marshall Area Chamber for event submissions:
*Event flyers or submissions must be an actual event. We don't include sales or promotions.
*Events can be included in the E-Connection for one week free of charge. You have the option of adding one additional week for $20.
*Submissions to be included must be sent the Wednesday prior to that Friday's E-Connection - they can be emailed to chamber@marshallmn.org.
*All event flyers are for Marshall Area Chamber of Commerce members only.
Did you find any errors? It happens! Although we appreciate notice of a small error in the newsletter, we only send out a corrected e-mail if absolutely necessary.
