Over the last several months, we have asked you what enhancements can be made to improve our business relationships and meet your needs. We asked, we listened and we have acted! One of the recurrent topics was our turnaround time on Full, 60 and 40 year abstract products. We have made significant changes and improvements to our Full Search Department that we would like to share with you!

Our Plant Department is one of the most valuable departments to our operation. They oversee some of the most complicated and complex real estate transactions in our field. We are blessed to have the knowledge and skills of our Plant Abstract employees, such as Maryeileen Kennedy (Supervisor of Plant), Jeffrey Hoak, MaryAnne Peckey, and Susan Keitz. The value they bring to every file that comes through our operation is something we take pride in. With that being said, we need to utilize that knowledge and bring up the future generation of Abstractors. We have now begun the process of cross-training employees. This was done to improve our turnaround times and continue to provide our services on the complicated commercial real estate transactions that few in the industry can handle. Cassandra Harm, Jessica Pagano, Grace Loucks, Donna Bauridel and Donna Aleksa are in the process of being cross-trained in the Plant department. While you will still see and hear from them in their normal everyday roles, they are also taking on the challenge of continuing their education on Full, 60 and 40 year abstracts. They are a welcome addition and support to our Plant Team!

In conclusion, we are using all resources available to meet your expectations. We hope that is reflected in the turnaround time of our Full abstract orders.

Please know we take all of your feedback and constructive criticism seriously. We are so appreciative and thankful of our relationship with each and every one of you and hope that you know we will continue to improve anyway we can to meet your needs!

Specifically, the criminals are using Business Email Compromise (BEC) schemes. Visit the Secret Service website for guides on BECs and other cyber-enabled financial crimes

How the real estate scheme works. A criminal:

  • Searches public records to identify real estate that is free of mortgage or other liens and identifies the property owner. These properties often include vacant lots or rental properties.
  • Poses as the property owner, then contacts the real estate agent to...
